The previous logo was based on rounded lowercase letters, creating a sense of openness and friendliness. This character worked well during the company’s earlier stage of development.
With the launch of business-class projects, the brand needed a more premium and expressive identity. At the same time, it was important to avoid the strict, impersonal aesthetic typical of real estate developers and preserve the brand’s distinctive character.
Context
As the brand evolved, its visual identity had to evolve with it
The main objective was to transform not only the letterforms but also the overall perception of the name.
The new logo needed to:
  • feel more mature and premium;
  • work well alongside architectural visualisations;
  • adapt to the company’s different projects;
  • include both primary and compact versions.
The redesign needed to become a foundation for the future development of the visual system, rather than simply a new way of writing the name.
The Challenge
Make the logo feel more premium without losing the brand’s core idea
Instead of introducing additional graphic symbols, the main focus was placed on the name itself.
The visual language combines the contrast of classical serif letterforms with more contemporary shapes. This creates a sense of premium quality without direct associations with traditional luxury aesthetics, while maintaining a connection to architecture and the company’s distinctive approach.
The accent mark above the first letter became the emotional element of the logo. It was retained from the previous version but took on a new meaning in the redesign: this is not simply “authors,” but “Author” with a capital A. Since all the letters are already uppercase, the accent mark creates this emphasis.
Visual Direction
A premium feel through typography, not decoration
Custom serif-based lettering was developed for the word “Avtory.” The letters combine contrasting characteristics: flowing curves meet sharp notches and distinctive terminals. This makes the wordmark feel both elegant and full of character.
Contrasting stroke weights and generous kerning between the letters create a sense of space and work well alongside architectural imagery.
Some details intentionally extend beyond traditional letterform construction, turning the word into a graphic mark in its own right.
Custom Lettering
A serif with flowing curves and sharp details
The colon became more than part of the wordmark—it became a meaningful element of the new logo.
The name “Avtory” is perceived as the beginning of a phrase, with each new property becoming its continuation:
Avtory: on Bolshaya Avtory: on Peterburgskaya Avtory: on Astronomicheskaya
In this way, a single master logo unites different projects, maintaining their connection to the brand while allowing each property to have its own name.
The Colon as the Foundation of the System
“Avtory:” — a name that invites continuation
Alongside the full version, a compact logo was developed:
A:
It retains the system’s core graphic principle—the first letter of the name and the colon—and can be used wherever the full wordmark would take up too much space.
Combined with the name of a specific project, the compact version forms a standalone composition:
A: Avtory on Bolshaya
This allows the system to work across different formats—from large-scale outdoor applications to small digital formats—without losing brand recognition.
